Being an Optimisation Engineer at Hivery means driving great outcomes for our customers and pushing the envelope in research and development. Using your passion and curiosity to prototype ideas and further develop our optimisation algorithms. Solutions oriented and your affinity for data helps turn data into insights and transform the way the business make decisions. Working closely with Client Services and our Technical teams to deliver world class algorithms and customer experiences.

We rely on you to;

• Take ownership of customer data
• Gather, clean, and parse data from multiple data sources in preparation for ingestion into HIVERY’s tools 
• Identify, capture, analyse, and manage data, contributing to better decision-making
• Help with the delivery of customer projects
  
• Translate customers business rules to model constraints
• Iterate and test which model constraints give the best results
• Fine-tune and further develop our optimisation models
  
• Understand business problems and opportunities in order to recommend solutions
• Research and develop new ways on how we can model constraints in order to improve performance
• Review data outputs and optimisation results to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Manages complex data analysis projects 

You will have;

• Experience with Python programming (this is a must)
• Experience with Gurobi or other mathematical programming solver 
• Experience with linear programming modelling 
• Ability to operate in a complex, rapidly changing environment, balancing and prioritising work across multiple projects 
• Ability to improve the way we work. Where possible, automate the tasks that you are doing, so we can focus on new and bigger things 
• Ability to pull ideas from data
• Have sound knowledge of machine learning techniques 
• Exposure to cloud computing
